Day 22 Prayer Focus – THANKSGIVING & PRAISE. Ex 15:1-2 …”I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

For those of you who started your fast at sundown on the first, your fast will end at sundown today. I am adding this one last prayer point because I believe we should always end with thanksgiving and praise. Whether a situation has turned out the way we want it to our not, God is worthy of Praise. He is always at work for our good! When He answers our prayers the way we want him to, we praise Him. When, in His wisdom, He delays the answer, or denies our requests, it is always for our good and we praise Him. I have found in my life that if my prayer is delayed in coming or if His answer is no, it is ALWAYS because He has something better for me. It is always proper to take a stance of Thanksgiving and Praise!

  • Thank Him for His faithfulness in our lives, our church and in our nation.
  • Thank Him for His promises – they are yes and amen in Christ!
  • Thank Him for His perfect timing.
  • Thank Him for His supernatural provision to us in this hour – He has promised us everything we need for life and godliness.
  • Thank Him for your family and church.
  • Thank Him for His divine protection in every circumstance.
  • Thank Him for our nation and for His promised destiny that will be fulfilled.
  • Continue throughout the day today in an atmosphere of Praise. Gratitude sets the stage for the miraculous.
  • Declare: The Lord is good and His faithfulness endures to ALL generations!

Day 21 Prayer Focus – REVIVAL. Joel 2:28 And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

I am writing this a couple of days in advance – I do not know what has transpired on Inauguration Day, however, todays prayer focus remains relevant. Whatever is going on this morning in America, one thing stands true, we need a great awakening of God’s Spirit throughout our land. Whoever is sitting in the White House this morning cannot save America. Only God can bring unity to this divided country and only God can empower us to fulfill the destiny of His purposes over our land. Today we pray for Revival.

Ask the Lord to use current circumstances to turn the hearts of America back to him.
Ask the Lord to sweep across the land with a fresh move of God to bring healing, restoration and reformation. It is our only hope.
Ask the Lord to truly open the eyes of every American, breaking off all deception, apathy, and pride. May America be humbled before the Lord today.
Pray that in our hour of need, America will turn to the Lord, not big tech, not violence or rioting in the streets.
Pray that the church will be ready to respond in the appropriate ways for the glory of Jesus’ name.
America has experienced at least 2 Great Awakenings at key times of our history. Cry out, “Lord do it again!” It is time for a third Great Awakening – I believe it has already begun.
Thank the Lord that He is not finished with America.
Declare: America’s best days are in front of her, not behind her. God will bring a Great Awakening and will finish what He has started in this nation! In Jesus’ name.

Day 20 Prayer Focus – INAUGURATION. 1 Tim 2:1-3 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people–for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior…
Today is a volatile day in America. It is imperative that we be alert and ready in the Spirit today. Please lift up our nation and her leaders throughout the day today and let’s believe for the Peace of God to rule and reign over all.

  • Pray against attempts to stir up violence.
  • Pray for the protection of all govt. leaders and those involved in the inauguration ceremonies.
  • Pray one more time for a miracle…It isn’t over until God says it is over. He reigns on high and causes governments to rise and fall.
  • Pray for Justice and Righteousness.
  • Pray for President Trump and his family on this day.
  • Pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
  • Pray for the mobilization of Heaven’s Armies throughout the land to keep America in this unsettling time.
  • Pray for TRUTH in the media (talk about asking for a miracle!).
  • At the end of the day, we pray for all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior.

Day 19 Prayer Focus – CITY OF ABILENE. Jer 29:7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.
Today we are praying for the city of Abilene. With all of the commotion going on in our nation, it would be easy to neglect prayers for Abilene, but I believe Abilene is a KEY city. Let’s pray today that God would raise up Abilene as a CITY ON A HILL. Let Revival start here and flow out to America and to the nations. There is a rich heritage of faith in this city. Let’s call out to the Lord for our spiritual inheritance and the resurrection of “dry bones.”

  • Pray for our city leadership: Mayor Anthony Williams; City Manager Robert Hanna; City Councilmen Shane Price, Jack Rentz, Weldon Hurt, Travis Craver, Donna Albus, and Kyle McAlister.
  • Pray for continued economic development and prosperity.
  • Pray for Dyess AFB – clearly a vital part of our community.
  • Pray for Protection – this is a city of Refuge.
  • Pray for the churches and pastors of our community – ask the Lord for:
  • Unity
  • Fresh anointing
  • Harvest of souls

Day 17 Prayer Focus – LIFE. As the creator of life, God holds all life precious from conception to death. Today is Sanctity of Human life day and this week marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
Pray for the end of legalized abortion in America.

If Biden becomes president, He has promised to put an abortion clinic on every corner and has promised to undo the pro-life legislation that Trump worked so hard to pass. Please pray for God’s intervention in these matters.

  • Pray for Pregnancy Resources of Abilene and its leadership.
  • Pray that the eyes of America will be open to the atrocity and deception surrounding this issue.
  • Pray for the healing of all whose lives have been traumatized by abortion.
  • Ask the Lord to give strategies as to how we can raise the value of human life in the eyes of Americans.

Day 16 Prayer Focus – HARVEST. Mat 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

We are living in the days of harvest. When I say that, I am referring to the harvest of souls. I believe we are living in the last of the last days, and one of the things I believe we will see is a billion or more people come to Christ. We are instructed to pray for the Lord to send out workers into his harvest field. We have been talking about the ‘mobilized’ church. That happens as God ‘sends’ people into the harvest field.

  • Pray for strategies of harvest – how can we use modern methods to take the timeless message?
  • Pray for God to call people into His harvest fields.
  • Pray for new anointings for harvest.
  • Pray for a spirit of conviction to fall – unless the Spirit draws them, no man comes to the Father.
  • Pray for our missionaries, think Global Harvest.
  • Ask the Lord to grant us eyes to see the harvest.
  • Declare: Lord, I recognize the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few: Here am I send me.

Day 15 Prayer Focus – CLARITY. Prov 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish…

One of the biggest challenges of today is knowing who to trust. There is a ton of information out there, but so much of it is biased or false that it is difficult to have clarity. We must have clarity. God desires to give His children discernment and supernatural knowledge. We are told God is the one who gives eyes to see and ears to hear. All through the book of Revelations, we keep seeing this phrase, “to him who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.”

  • Ask the Lord for ears to hear and eyes to see, not only for yourself, but for Church, city and national leadership.
  • Ask the Lord to stir up the spiritual gift of discernment. We need supernatural discernment in this season to know what and who to believe.
  • Not only do we need information, but wisdom to know what to do with it. Ask the Lord for knowledge and wisdom.
  • Pray that the scales come off our eyes so we can see clearly.
  • Ask the Lord to show us how to increase clarity.
  • Ask the Lord for a clear path forward for 2021, for your life, for the Church and for our nation.
  • Ask the Lord for COURAGE to act upon the things we see.

Day 14 – Thursday, Jan 14th

Day 14 Prayer Focus – PROVISION. Phil 4:19 – And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

One of the Covenant names of God is Jehovah Jireh which means the Lord our Provider. He sees exactly what we need and promises His supernatural resources to provide everything for life and godliness. The first place our minds usually go is to the arena of finances, but this promise goes so much farther. He promises His provision, under covenant, for everything we need: physical, financial, emotional, and spiritual. What amazing promises we have.

  • Thank the Lord for His abundant provision in 2020. Gratitude sets the stage for the miraculous.
  • Pray for His provision over your life, family, church and nation.
  • Ask God to reveal anything that may be blocking your provision.
  • Ask the Lord to reveal where your harvest is (sometimes like Peter, we have to go get the coin from the mouth of the fish). We want God just to drop it in the mail, but often He wants to direct us to a new field where we can Harvest (the book of Ruth). OBEY.
  • Pray for our nation that God will provide godly leadership and all that we need in our government as we move forward.
  • Declare: The Lord is my PROVIDER. I have everything I need for life and godliness.
  • Thank the Lord for a prosperous 2021 no matter what happens in the world around us. We live in the economy of HIS KINGDOM and there is no lack.

Day 13 Prayer Focus – PROTECTION. Psalm 12:7 – You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,
The battle is raging all around us, both in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm.

The enemy would love to fill us with fear, anxiety and stress, but God has another plan. All through scripture God promises He will protect us. In fact, as our Shepherd (Jehovah Roi) that is a vital part of His character. His name is a strong tower we can run into and be safe.

  • Thank the Lord that He is our protector!
  • Bind any spirit of fear, anxiety, or worry, breaking any agreement you have made with your words.
  • Lose the Spirit of God to bring you his perfect peace and a sense of safety. Ask him to make His presence real to you today.
  • Pray for God’s divine protection over you, your family, our church, our city and our nation.
  • Pray scriptures such as Ps. 91, Isa. 41:10, Deut. 31:6, 2 Thess. 3:3 (so many more).
  • Declare: The Lord is my PROTECTOR, whom shall I fear!
  • Thank the Lord again for His protection, breathe deeply and REST.
